Living life as a full-time RV nomads means frequent long travel days. Long travel days with a squirmy, whiny small dog mean we need great distractions! Here are our favorite podcasts to help long travel days feel slightly less long.
We Can Do Hard Things
Michelle fell in love with Glennon Doyle’s book Untamed and started listening to We Can Do Hard Things when it first premiered in Spring of 2021. Glennon, her wife, soccer star Abby Wambach, and her sister former lawyer Amanda, tackle topics from anxiety, to eating disorders, to adult friendship, and more. We love the conversations they have and the resulting conversations the topics generate between the two of us after listening. Listen on Apple, Spotify, or Audacy

Vibe Check
Back in the spring of 2020, when George Floyd was murdered by the police and White Americans were truly starting to reckon with their relationship to race and power and privilege, we made a goal to diversify our social media feeds, and follow artists, poets, writers, and activist who were demographically different than us. One of our favorite follows from that time period has been poet Saeed Jones. Saeed, and his fellow “group text thread” friends journalists Sam Sanders and Zach Stafford, get together on a weekly basis to discuss current events in news and culture and how it is impacting them. It has been eye opening to us both to see current events through the lens of three Queer BIPOC men and each week we laugh and get challenged to take a new perspective on issues. Listen on Apple, Spotify or Stitcher

The Holderness Family Podcast
We first discovered Kim and Penn Holderness from their hilarious internet videos in which they write new lyrics to songs and make us laugh out loud. We rooted for them during Season 33 of The Amazing Race (spoiler alert, they won!). But we really fell in love with them for their honesty and insightfulness in discussing their marriage. Kim has anxiety and Penn has ADHD, and boy can we relate to all their conversations! Listen on Apple, Spotify or stream on the web
