August Camping Summary

Updated: Sep 27, 2022

We officially hit the road, leaving Steve's dad's house on August 15th, but starting sleeping and living in Tabitha full time as of August 11th. Here is our half month of August break down of our camping and traveling. We feel pretty good about our first two weeks as full time digital nomads!

Moochdocking with Steve's family in Desert Aire, WA

Moochdocking on a city street in Spokane, WA with our friends the Domrese family

Gorgeous Sunset at our Harvest Host location at Grass Valley Farm in Missoula, MT

The parking lot wasn't pretty, but the drinks from our Harvest Host site at Bridger Brewing in Three Forks, MT were delicious!

Our full hookup site at Yellowstone's Edge RV Park in Livingston, MT. We loved our evening walks along the river!

Our single night stay at Buffalo Campground in Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Island Park, ID

Our moochdocking site with Michelle's brother and his family in Star Valley Ranch, WY. This one will be hard to beat!

Our two night stay at Dinosaur National Monument in Jensen, UT. It was hot and we were glad to have our solar panels so we could run the AC for a few hours even without being hooked up to electricity!

Our two night stay in Yampa River State Park in Hayden, CO. We were grateful for the shade structures, even if they weren't pretty!

So there you have it! Our first half month on the road was a good mix of moochdocking, Harvest Hosts, RV Parks, and both State and Federal lands. We kept a pretty fast pace with six states in the first two weeks. We are definitely looking forward to slowing this pace down and spending longer times in our next few states! Which of our August locations would you be most interested in camping at and why? Tell us below in the comments!
